Hey mamma!
I met this really weird guy today, was asked to do this thing for the city! Could ya' believe it? He seemed okay, and maybe I might have better luck finding it now, can't find a silly thing at all about it here. Been poking around for months now and nope, not even a sign. Stupid city.
Anyhow, this guy heard about me because of you! Wanted me to help them with something, and said I was really good at what I did and could be of use! So cool. Seems something they were doing wasn't going well or something and something needed to be done to help these other people that they had doing it because it needed to be done. He had this other guy with him, big guy! Kind of scary looking. I remember what you taught me, and will make sure things go okay!
I'm packing and getting ready to go, gotta make sure nothing gets left behind! You know how this goes, bleh.
Have you heard about the Marco guy (I think?) you were worried about? It's been awhile hasn't it! Hope you find something to set you at ease. Give my happies to the clan!
Anyhow, gotta get things ready, gonna be travelling again!

Hi mamma,
Been busy travelling. This guy is so weird! Seems nice enough though, even if he's scary looking. Forgotten how good it can be just going places again. Almost gives me hope! Heehee.
Going to this strange little town, Hillmarch? It's where that guy wanted me to go, and that scary guy had to come along too for some reason. Apparently the people we're supposed to meet are there, though dunno how these people know that if those people are moving around? Must be magicking it to keep track of them. This guy seems to know some magic too! Doesn't look like much of a mage, doesn't even have a pointy hat! So funny to see the weird people like this!
Lotsa roads and walking and things, tiring. Legs finally stopped hurting as much, think I'm getting used to it all!
Stopped at an inn tonight, they had rabbit and veggie stew. Wasn't even close to nans though, then nothing ever is! Tallfolk have such bland tastes, but then you'd know all about that.
Time to bed!

Gonds gears, this has been a riot the last few days! So many things. I almost died! Like, three times! There was this bird and it didn't like flying though it had wings it wasn't really a bird and it looked like something of a horse or something. Damn thing should be killed, they made me ride it!!!!! Like, what? If I was meant to fly, Garl would've given me wings! Though maybe he gave others wings, because there were bird people and

Gonds gears! the last few days have been practically insane! We got to the village and met with these tallfolk we were supposed to meet. The human I've been travelling with, his name is Viktor? Victer? He's got such a boring name, why do they do this to themselves? Anyway, he spotted them whilst we were resting at Hillmarch and we met them and they're weird. Like, really weird. This one tallfolk is obviously in love with his mustache, I think he thinks it loves him back, too. There's this blue one and he just.. I don't even know! He's nice though, carried me over a river by FLOATING! Not even floating ON the river, but over it! Don't know why he hates turtles, I think mustache lied to me about that. I made a nice little turtle for him, and all he did was cry. Wuss. The turtle got us over the river though! Definitely a keeper, that design.
Vick told them we we're there to review them, but I don't remember that part? Review them? They look scruffy and seem really insane. There's even an elf! But like every elf, just walks around, shooting things with a bow. Not even remotely different. And I think some other kinda elf? Seemed weird, maybe a halfbreed I think, he didn't speak much.
We finally got to getting on the path to doing what we needed to do and find the things we did, they just wanted to talk all day. They're worse than aunty Breega! Could you imagine that? Usually it's only the women tallfolk that talk THIS much about something, but nope, mustache just can't shut up at all. Would talk for weeks if he had a mind to, I bet.
Anyway, we found this farmer and he had dead people and we looked at them and they seemed strange, and found the wagons we needed to find, but not the dwarves we were looking for. Though I think only me and Vick knew about them! Didn't wanna tell mustache, would've been an even longer bout of yapping from him if I had. Heehee!
So we followed some tracks pointy ears found (that's the elf!) and got to this river and it was huge, and that's when we found some marks that were boats (not themselves, but of boats!) and got the blue one to carry me over the water. They didn't even think to check the other side! Good thing I was there, huh? Did it whilst mustache was talking, AGAIN.
We found where the boats left and got to this road whilst mustache talked his way over the river (full of hot air, that one), and blue and I went and waited for them, though I think we'd have done fine ourselves. He seems strong, blue, still don't get why he doesn't like turtles.
So, walked down this round and found this site of a massacre or something, dead people and broken wagons and things. Couldn't salvage anything, really frustrating, even the axles were broken! Forgot how annoying it is to travel, love the going places, hate not having places to work!
So we found more tracks and things and then I think we got lost and the others decided to go to some tower they had been to before. That's the part with the birdhoofs or something (hippogriffs I think they called 'em, certainly looked like no hippo I've ever seen, birdhoofs makes much more sense), and we got to the tower and it had the usual cliche draw bridge. Went inside and the liar in charge was all puffed up and important, he liked to eat and talk as much as mustache! Called him out on the lying, and nope, just ignored. The tallfolk ALWAYS overlook us, don't they mamma? Well, certainly showed him! Heehee, will get to that! So then we went to hunt this OTHER strange flying thing, for some reason? A ring I think? Mustache really liked the guy, I think maybe he likes men, especially ones that talk as much as he does. No wonder he and blue fight a lot, blue doesn't talk much, guess mustache resents that?
But we got to ride the hippos (why would these exist!?!?!?), and mine was evil. It should've stayed in the hells where it belongs. Had to scare it to even make it move! They were gonna leave me behind with liar the windbag, and no way was I letting THAT happen.
So a challenge or something, some the tallfolk from the tower went one way, and we went this other way, and I suggested to go to where the thing had be spotted and go from there and we found it straight away! I'm so smart, I almost envy myself! Heehee! Mustache did some magicky things and ears shot it some and we killed it by crashing it into the ground. And that is why I HATE FLYING! Nope, don't need to do anything, just flat nothing is enough to kill you dead. Bah. Oh, gotta get better throwing these things, almost blew myself up! Thinking of rigging something up to fix that, but I just don't have the time or a workshop, but think I fixed the last part! Heehee.
So we got the giant flying lion thing back to the tower and spoke to liar, and I noticed that he had this mark. It was one of the things you taught me, the symbol for air and elements and stuff. So I pointed that out, and we seemed to be chasing this thing about earth, and I asked liar why he was lying again, and he was talking more and more and I was thinking mustache was enjoying that WAY too much. Then liar was all 'Guards!'. So I set them on fire. The guards, not the other folk! The smoker worked great! So happy, but someone was a magicker and they just winded it away (forgot about the -air- part). Vick was great, he took a beating and kept on standing. Mustache was full of hot air, though he had this strange bone wand. I really want to get my hands on that (NOT THAT MAMMA!!) and see what it does properly, it shoots evil things. Wonder if I could replicate that? Ears was doing what elves do, shoot things and stay out of being really useful, just pew pew pew pew. Nothing new there.
OH! We also had to fight these other things, like giant bugs, back at the river. We did really good, but blue just kept getting spat on by them. They had acid breath, I managed to bottle some! Burnt my hands up a bit though, didn't bring the right gloves and was in a hurry. Gotta get travelling gloves!
And so we did this fight, and I ran outta the good stuff so I had to rig some things up. There was this stairway down from the tower roof. It was big enough for a single tallfolk at a time. In a closed space. With no other way up. Can you guess? Heehee! Poured some the bearings I had spare to make some more sharpers, tripped em up good. Had some oil too, so that went down the stairs. Then when the tallfolk wankers that followed liar and were trying to kill us all fell over in there, I set it on fire! HAH! Should've seen them mamma. I know you keep telling me not to kill people, but I don't go out of my way to! They attack me, and you know what cousin Temma says about folk that try to kill you. I agree with her. (How's she doing too? Had the fifth one yet? She and Bungle are still together aren't they? It's been way too long!)
Well, that lasted a bit and gave us a breather, and then we had the OTHER jackasses of liars fly back and try and kill us. We were getting hurt hard. I got stabbed AND shot with my OWN bloody weapons! This one guy just WOULD NOT DIE! I couldn't believe it. He almost killed me with my own dagger when I threw it at him and he through it back!
Mustache killed him when he jumped off the tower (the guy, not mustache, though that would've...) and shot magicks at him.
Lotsa liars guys kept getting stuck in the stairwell. The oil and bearings did WAY too goo. I need more now though. Had to set it on fire a second time and used all my oil! What'll I do to keep the turtle running!?
I tried to kick this other guy and that didn't work. I think I need to make something that'll fix that. I even ran at him and jumped and just fucking bounced off! Sometimes I really really hate tallfolk. But at least they're stupid! Heehee, told one I was dead and he believed me! I couldn't even.. wow.
But right when things started going -really- bad, like, mustache and Vick got taken down and were dying right there, and I had my own arrow AND my own dagger in me (I was still fighting strong), and ears finally got into the fight. I mean, I got into the fight WAY before he did, prissy thing, bet he worried about breaking a nail. I just keep knocking people down the stairs into the fire, and this one of liars -obviously- smarter guys decided to retreat DOWN the stairs, and that was the end of him. Idiot, forgot about the bearing and oil, didn't he?
But, things got really dicey and then these birdmen things flew in and had a go at the last handful of things. They'd been stalking the folk in here like birdmen do, I guess, and were gonna fight them but figured, hey, why not let the other folk do it? Dickheads, the lot of them. Nice feathers though, I really want to take some. I bet I could make a little birdman that flies like they do! That'd go well with turtle.
But we rescued the tower and got rid of this cult bit, I think? Air cult? Whatever that's supposed to do, worshipping air really gonna do something for you there? Meh.
Oh, and we found gold, and I claimed the best room as mine! And we've got a room with a kitchen and solarium (or something, these tallfolk words hurt my brain) that I can use as a workshop! They wouldn't let me claim the other rooms, they just don't appreciate how much space I need. Jackasses.
But we saved mustache and Vick from dying (I did it myself!), grandpa was really wise to teach me about that. Tallfolk anatomy is strange.
But that's enough, sorry for the long letter! Really busy few days, and am so tired. Needed to get it written down before I forgot things. Hope you're well mamma! I know you can't write me while I travel, but just address them to the guild at Suzail and I'll get them there whenever I can! Be safe!
