You gesture at a weapon held by a creature, the weapon briefly shimmers with a black aura that disappears in the blink of an eye.
You target a single melee weapon within range. The next time that weapon used to make a melee attack, its shaft twists around so the weapon strikes the wielder instead. The weapon hits automatically and no attack roll is made. The wielder gets no knowledge or warning of the spells effect upon his weapon, and although he makes an attack, the damage cannot be consciously reduced (though resistances still apply) or changed to non-lethal damage. Once a weapon makes this attack the spell ends for that weapon.
A magical weapon targeted by this spell can attempt a Wisdom saving throw to resist its effects. It can use its own Wisdom save (if it has one) or use the Wisdom save of the creature wielding it, whichever is higher.
At Higher Levels:
When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, you can target one additional melee weapon for each slot level above 1st. The weapons must be within 30 feet of each other when you target them.
